Great Art is Great: A compilation of all versions of the legendary feminist grunge song 'Great Art'.
"He's got nothing to say,
He's got nothing to say!
Most privileged,
Oh so irrelevant
He's got nothing to say,
He's got nothing to say,
Great Artist,
Out of my way!"
Great Art was written back in 2014, when Tine and Eve decided to play music together at Rockhaus Berlin. They used to celebrate friendship and feminism with potato chips, lots of drinks and loud punk rock music.*
One night, Tine, who is actually a guitarist, started playing a new rhythm on the drums and Eve just jammed on a riff that she thought she had just learned from a Breeders song, as fast as she possibly could.
The lyrics were inspired by a feminist pamphlet that Eve was reading, so she picked up a few words and added her own lines.
*) Please note, alcohol is not part of a cool rock n roll life. Tine and Eve stopped indulging in these kind of pleasures together the day after 'Great Art' was released on vinyl.
